New look for Race Cors Caron’s 21st annual event. Good luck to tomorrow’s competors on Tregaron’s famous half marathon race. This is going to be another tough competition this year. Expect some great half marathon times despite tomorrows weather (the tail of storm Dennis). I was commissioned last year to design a logo for Ras Cors Caron by the event organisers. Usually customers approach me to increase their sales and build a marketing campaign or improve on their brand presence. Dovey Valley Shooting Ground hosts ’50 Bird Clay Shooting Competition. Congratulations to Dovey Valley Shooting Ground on their first competition in 20 years. In November 2019 a ’50 bird open shooting course was set over 5 stands in the glorious Dovey Valley hills. First prize was a £100 ‘High Gun’ and there were also 2nd and 3rd prizes to be won. Refreshments were available throught the day at the newly refurbished lodge. Dovey Valley is back on the map… so competitive shooters don’t need to travel far for some serious fun! Phase 1 complete for Aberystwyth Innovation and Enterprise Campus. Congratulations to Aberystwyth University on opening the first phase of their £40.5m Innovation and Enterprise Campus to provide world-leading facilities and expertise for the biotechnology, agri-tech, and food and drink sectors. The event also marked the official opening of two new state of the art research facilities at the development which overall has been supported by £20m from the European Regional Development Fund through the Welsh Government, £12m from the BBSRC – part of UK Research and Innovation – and £8.5m from Aberystwyth University. Inspiring Future Scientists. Possibly the ultimate experience for 7-12yr old budding scientists. The Big Science Project are running science camps over the schools half term break. Students will learn about human biology, the brain, space, colourful chemistry, forensic science plus lots, lots more! Every day is fun and fully interactive – working as a team or on their own throughout the events in Llandrindod Wells, Llandysul, Pembrokeshire and Carmarthen.
